60 Year Class Reunion

Sixty-Year Class Reunion

Thank you to all of you who attended our 60-Year Reunion! We missed those who couldn't be there!  It was great to see so many of you and to renew acquaintances.  "Once a friend, always a friend", and we just picked right up where we left off from the last time we saw one another. There were 40 classmates and 19 guests in attendance.

Thank you to Aralee's sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Jeff Bonham, who shared their wonderful home and yard for the reunion, and they were just like family to us. Thank you Aralee for your hard work making all the arrangements, signs, and putting everything together at their home.

We sang our beloved school song with gusto, lead by Janet.

We had an opportunity for an outdoor class picture and there were many photos taken with cell phones. It's amazing how different it is from the little Brownie cameras we had 60 years ago. If you have any photos you would like to share, please add them to our photo section on the site.

Thank you to the classmates who shared their talents with us on our display table and for the scrapbooks we were able to enjoy.

We had a tasty Dutch oven dinner preapred by Cast Iron Catering. We enjoyed chicken, ribs, potatoes, baked beans, tossed green salad, rolls and peach cobbler with ice cream. Janet also brought a large, yummy chocolate sheet cake.

Janet updated the video from our last reunion that was prepared by Jerry and Aralee, highlighting those 32 classmates who have passed away. We also watched the video that Jay put together some 20 years ago of memories of our Class of 63. My, how we have changed over the years--older is better, isn't it?

Our next reunion committee was chosen. Thank you Brent Garfield, Linda Secrist, JoAnn Spencer Adams and Jay Nielson for accepting this nomination!

Thanks also for the donations that will pay for our website subscription for the next five years and also give the new committee some funds to start preparing for our next reunion.

We are so very pleased with your support and hope to see you in 5 years (or less).

Best of Friends,

Janet Thompson Cook, Dennis Fuhriman, Aralee Scothern, Virgil and Marie Pugsley
